JD Elder kickstarted his career designing mechanical components for durable goods including electronics and furniture before finding his true calling within building systems design. Since joining Henderson in 2015, he has played a pivotal role on countless projects for one of our largest multinational retail clients. His knack for providing first-class project management and client experience serve him well in his oversight of store remodels and ground-up developments across the country.
JD is passionate about connecting with people and enjoys conversing with others and understanding what makes them tick. This welcoming disposition steers his business development efforts within Northwest Arkansas, a place he has called home for more than 25 years. His love for the region is part of what inspired our Bentonville office’s involvement in Urban Land Institute Northwest Arkansas, helping champion responsible land use and development. JD’s people-first focus extends to his private life, where you can usually find him spending time with his three grandchildren, taking trips with his wife, or serving his signature brisket to friends and loved ones.
