YOU BELONG AT #TEAMHENDERSON.
The Henderson culture is about belonging. Differences are welcome here because an inclusive and diverse workplace makes us better engineers – but more importantly, better people. Henderson is committed to providing an equitable work environment for all, and we’re taking steps to increase diversity within our firm and within the industry. Our purpose is to build a better world. And to us, that means starting with our people first.
REAL was created to foster community and drive action through education and dialogue around past and present race relations, and to equip members with practical steps how we move forward collectively in our fight for equality.
Focusing on support for LGBTQIA+ Henderson employees and families, UNITE was formed to spread a message of inclusion, both internally and externally, to our clients and community.
Made for women, by women, this group offers educational sessions, networking, professional development, and programs that encourage young women to pursue careers in STEM. Men are also invited as we all work toward more gender equality.
To unite people in promoting sustainability and regenerative practices, educate and inform ourselves and our peers about sustainability, identify connections, and empower restorative change both within Henderson and across our local and global communities.

Seeing other out LGBTQ+ members at work is incredibly welcoming…Henderson lets me be myself – something everyone should be able to do. For that, I want to say thank you to Henderson, the wonderful leadership teams, the great coworkers, the inclusive atmosphere, and the dedication to walk the walk and not just talk the talk.

Giving back has always been part of Henderson’s purpose. We’re committed to building a better world – and you can see that in action through our volunteer and mentorship programs designed to improve the lives of our employees and communities.
A Habitat for Humanity project in the ‘70s transformed into paid time off for our people to volunteer and give back to the communities where they work and live.
In addition to offering all employees 16 hours of community service time each year, the Henderson Foundation has provided millions of dollars to community organizations with missions that support education, arts and culture, environment and sustainability, and health and human services across the country. We also fund multiple scholarship with university partners as well as an independent scholarship open to all students pursing AEC degrees.
We invest in the growth and development of our people. Each new hire takes part in training through technical classes on topics tailored to discipline, experience level, and position. And all employees can participate in ongoing learning sessions facilitated by internal subject matter experts.
You can feel the energy in our halls, in client meetings, and in the relationships we build through our employee and client events. And have we mentioned our legendary golf tournament?
