Matt thrives on creatively solving energy and climate challenges in the built environment. He passionately stays ahead of global trends in systems research and development and new concepts. Firmly believing resilience and decarbonization engineering bridge societal gaps caused by climate change – deforestation, food and water insecurity, energy conflicts, displacement, and livability concerns – he finds his discipline essential.



As our lead energy analyst, Matt’s responsibilities encompass a breadth of expertise, including energy modeling, renewable energy systems design, energy storage systems analysis, resilience studies, and detailed decarbonization and electrification assessments with life cycle cost analyses. An out-of-the-box thinker, former serial entrepreneur, and a touch of a renegade, he readily bucks AEC industry norms to achieve optimal solutions.
