Greenbuild 2024: Built to Scale

Brian Alessi and Laura Brandt will be presenting Zero Carbon by 2030: Turning a University’s Pledge Into Reality on Friday, November 15 at  Greenbuild 2024.  As institutions begin to lead toward a sustainable future and commit to reduce carbon emission to zero, it’s the perfect time to explore strategies and collaborative efforts that are transforming pledges into innovative solutions for a sustainable built environment.  
 
Driven by a common mission to create resilient solutions for future generations, Brian and Laura bring an extensive knowledge of expertise in developing sustainable strategies that reduce the life–cycle of carbon footprint within buildings. With over 20 years in the industry, Brian has assessed and created over 400 LEED certified projects, zero net energy projects, and residential and commercial passive house developments. Laura, being one of the first 64 individual globally to earn the Certified Decarbonization Professional (CDP) certification from ASHARE, the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, specializes in identifying ways to make buildings more energy-efficient to help meet sustainability goals.
