AMC World Headquarters

Founded in 1920 by purchasing the Regent Theater in downtown Kansas City, AMC Entertainment is currently the largest theater operator in the country with more than 5,000 screens across North America.

In 2013, Henderson Engineers completed design on the new AMC World Headquarters - a state-of-the-art facility located in Leawood, Kansas. In addition to the corporate offices, with mechanical systems designed to support a collaborative environment, the 130,000 SF headquarters also operates as a theater support center featuring a full test kitchen, bar and dining spaces, and training rooms. It also includes an underfloor air distribution system and supplemental HVAC units for specialty areas such as the network operation center, server room, and UPS room.

As a ground up construction project, Henderson was also able to leverage cutting edge technology by designing a 2-story media wall, and a digital cinema lab to test seats, projection and sound.
