District Wide Master Plan & Design - Lawrence Public Schools USD 497

At Henderson, we’re more than a partner for the life of your building, we’re a partner to your district. Our relationship with Lawrence Public Schools USD 497 and being a part of their growth for the last 18 years is a testament to our commitment to growth, indefinitely.

As part of the last $92.5 million bond projects, Lawrence Public Schools USD 497 looked to Henderson to complete the systems design at Lawrence High School, Free State High School, Kennedy Elementary and Early Childhood, Deerfield Elementary, Schwegler Elementary, and the new Lawrence College and Career Center. These projects improved school facilities, enhanced technology district wide, and expanded career and technical education opportunities for students.

The current $87 million bond features work at Lawrence High School, Lawrence Free State High School, West Middle School, Liberty Memorial Central Middle School, South Middle School, and Southwest Middle School. At Lawrence High, there will be a full renovation including additions while Free State will receive interior renovations, classroom addition, and an athletic addition. West Middle School will get a full major mechanical retrofit, lighting retrofit to LED, and media center, learning pocket, and classroom renovations. Liberty Memorial Central, South, and Southwest middle schools are also slated for lighting retrofit to LED with media center, learning pocket, and classroom renovations.
